STORIES INSIDE COMCAST
ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Find a hole and fill it. At Comcast, you’re not only allowed to, you’re encouraged to. All you need to do is raise your hand and you’ll find the support you need to make it happen. — Amy Banse, Managing Director Comcast Ventures
CULTURE
Comcast SEVP David L. Cohen explains how they restored Billy Penn to his rightful place at the top of the highest spot in Philadelphia and watched as Philly won the World Series four months later.

CONTENT TYPE | VIDEO STORIES
We were tasked with telling stories to attract top talent from top schools such as MIT and Stanford speaking directly to those looking for a workplace that supported both the fresh thinking of a tech start-up and the resources of a well-oiled machine. When we started, there was little known outside Comcast about their strong culture of innovation and still fewer knew of the real-life impact their family-friendly values made on employees. We were offered the opportunity to peek under the hood at the internal culture of the company and demonstrate the excitement of being part of their team.
We had the pleasure and privilege of producing cinematic heartfelt video stories for Comcast for over 3 years. These in-depth, unscripted conversations with leadership, engineering, design teams, and field teams were shot at their Philadelphia, PA headquarters and at 30 Rock in New York.
Our stories focused on entrepreneurship and innovation within the company and on the evolution of Comcast NBCU as they pivoted away from being a mere cable company, evolving with the cord-cutting and YouTube star generation, into becoming an experimental media and tech company.
Our work took us from the office of founder Ralph Roberts to scrum sessions with the product teams to the 3D printing facility for Xfinity to the top of the Comcast Center, the tallest building in Philadelphia where their miniature Billy Penn statue sits.
A partial list of people I interviewed include:
- Ralph Roberts., Founder
- Brian Roberts, CEO
- Michael Angelakis, former CFO
- David Cohen, SVP
- Charlie Herrin, Chief Customer Experience Officer
- Amy Banse, Head of Comcast Ventures out of SF
- Sree Kotay, former CTO
- Tom Loretan, SVP and ECD of Experience and Product Design and his team
- Tom Wlodkowski, Vice President of Accessibility
- Tony Werner, President of Technology
- Karima Zedan, VP Digital Inclusion
- Sam Schwartz, Chief Business Development Officer
Additionally, we were honored to create an intimate tribute video for Ralph Roberts after his passing which included emotional conversations with everyone from his secretary to his personal driver about their cherished experiences working with Ralph. We went through plenty of tissues during filming.
My partner and I were hired after Frog Design completed a complete re-design of their corporate website and saw our “Inverted Bike Shop” video – a Vimeo Staff Pick with over 500k organic views. They recommended us for our authentic, meaningful storytelling and the rest was history.
Comcast NBCU has been one of my personal favorite clients of all time. They were consistently kind, intelligent and upbeat, putting an abundance of trust in us for which we are eternally grateful. They were a pleasure to work with and the enthusiasm of their teams was infectious.
